Williams Fieldhouse Phase II - Pool Fund Details » Donate Online

This renovation is one of several around campus and it will allow the Williams Fieldhouse and Pioneer Activity Center facility to successfully function for a student population much larger (thousands greater) than what the original building was built to handle.  Phase 2 will complete the addition and renovation of the Pioneer Activity Center.  The conceptual design for this phase, focusing on an aquatic center and auxiliary gym, was completed with the planning for Phase 1.

The earliest time construction will begin is in summer 2010, completion in fall 2011. The construction date for this project hinges greatly on the amount of money raised or donated due to little, if any, funding  from the state. The new addition is currently planned to include a new aquatic facility with competitive and recreational uses – eight-lane pool with diving well.  The current pool will be converted into an auxiliary gym, with the balcony seating  being converted into an athletic training room, and the current athletic training room to become a locker room.
