This renovation is one of several around campus and it will allow the Williams Fieldhouse and Pioneer Activity Center facility to successfully function for a student population much larger (thousands greater) than what the original building was built to handle.    

Added to this facility is a 6,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose high-ceiling gym (volleyball court, baskets, cheer and stunt, men’s club volleyball, Tae Kwan Do, dressing/holding room for track meets and football games), and 2 restrooms/shower rooms with access to the outdoor track.  Also, the building itself will be renovated.  The two racquetball courts will be turned into offices and wrestling/PE classrooms.  The current assistant football coaches’ office will be turned into the recreational equipment check-out center and storage area (disc golf, bean bags, roller blades, golf clubs, and bicycles).  The current wrestling room will be remodeled into an aerobics room and expansion of the weight room equipment to the upper level balcony will also take place.  Some other renovation details include the installation of air conditioning in the aerobics room and offices, lighting at the outdoor track, and a new sound system and bleachers in Williams Fieldhouse will be installed.
