The Luce Center Museum is going to encompass UWP’s history, the minerals and fossils of southwest Wisconsin, and the North American Manx Association’s collection.  The role of the Luce Center Museum is to provide the students with a better understanding of the history of UWP, Platteville, and the southwest Wisconsin area, through displays and other materials that will enhance the students’ academic experience.  Parallel to this, the Luce Museum will be a place for the alumni to visit, reminisce, and, if they so desire, donate treasured artifacts.

Over the years, the Southwest Wisconsin Room has provided a place for alumni to donate their treasured artifacts.  Now with the extra display space in the Luce Center Museum, even more donations can be showcased.
